CMS 017, targeted for Hepatitis B treatment, is in pre-clinical
stage currently.
China is a prevalent area for Hepatitis B. In 2006, there were
approximately 120 million HBV carriers and 30 million Hepatitis
B sufferers in China. It seems that there are considerable market
opportunities for CMS 017.
Regarding CMS 017, the Group is hoping to complete all the pre-clinical
studies and submit an IND application to the SFDA and initiate
Phase I clinical trials within 2008.
